The closure of the Claremont pool is leaving residents looking for alternatives to keep cool.
A yellow sign near the pool indicates that it is closed due to a health and safety condition.
Resident Sandra Maldonado tells News 12 that Tuesday was her only day off this week and was planning to bring her kids to the pool. Now, she says she has to pivot to find something else to keep cool.
News 12 reached out to the city's Parks Department, and it said that the intermediate pool was closed due to a water quality issue and the wading pool was closed because of lifeguard staffing.
It says the pool is expected to open by 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
