The Bronx got a couple inches of snow overnight – and for people in Riverdale, that means it’s time to go sledding.

Waking up early isn’t usually the routine for weekend mornings. But people were outside on the slope at Ewen Park. It’s known as one of the best sledding spots in the borough.

News 12 spoke with parents and kids who were enjoying the snow.

The DSNY says they started plowing Saturday evening and throughout the night, working 12-hour shifts. By 4:30 a.m., 99.5% of the city’s streets had been plowed.
