Showers will quickly taper off approaching midnight. It will get windier after the storm departs, with gusts approaching 40 mph by Saturday morning. It will be a cold Canadian wind, bringing in colder weather for the weekend. It will also be sunny for Saturday. Highs in the upper-30s occur early in the morning, falling through the 30s through the day. It will feel colder than that with the higher gusts.
Lows Sunday morning will feel like in the teens. There will be some sun to begin Sunday, and likely enough for Staten Island Chuck to see his shadow. A storm stays north of the borough Sunday night but could briefly bring a shower around midnight. It gets warmer briefly after the storm as it is a warm front. Temperatures in the 50s are likely with some wind on Monday.
Monday's warmth is a quick hit as colder weather returns for Tuesday and Wednesday. Another more significant storm could bring a significant warm surge later next week with temperatures in the 60s possible late Thursday or early Friday with a chance of thunderstorms.
