A winter clothing drive is being held for the victims of a two-alarm fire in Van Cortlandt Village.
City Council Member Andrew Cohen, Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz, Community Board 8, the 50th Police Precinct and Engine 81 are all teaming up to hold the fundraiser.
More than 100 firefighters helped put out the flames last Friday, and then the Red Cross has been assisting eight families. Two people were critically hurt and three others were in serious condition after making it out of the burning apartment building.
Officials are encouraging the community to primarily donate winter clothes. The items will be collected at three different locations starting Wednesday and going through Jan. 28.
