The crisp air and ice is Mother Nature's perfect storm tonight.

It is recommended that people wear a hat, gloves, scarf and jacket if heading outdoors.

A Code Blue is in effect across all of New York City through 8:00 a.m. Tuesday.

If you see a homeless person outside or a person in distress, please call 311. Someone will come and get that person the proper resources they need to warm up.

With these freezing temperatures, also stay alert for long-term exposure to the cold.

Hypothermia is a big risk on cold nights.

If you notice yourself experiencing slurred speech, confusion or loss of memory, seek medical help immediately.
