Dozens of neighbors, friends and families packed Carroll Street and Franklin Avenue on Monday evening, coming together to grieve the victims of a deadly mass shooting at a Crown Heights lounge.
Residents told News 12 the trauma of repeated mass shootings continues to weigh heavily on the city, leaving many fearful about when and where the next tragedy might happen.
They also expressed that through solidarity, things can change.
Mayor Eric Adams and other city leaders are expected to join the community at the vigil to honor the victims and call for more conversations around safety and support in Crown Heights and across New York City.
