Fausto Rodriguez, 40, was found near the scene of a car crash by the Cross Bronx Expressway and Jerome Avenue at around 11 p.m. last Friday night.
Law enforcement officials confirmed that multiple suspects fled the scene on foot. They say one person who was in the car and fled came back in a Toyota Rav-4 with a second man, when an argument happened between the three. That argument led to Rodriguez being shot.
His colleagues at Xtreme Quality say that this feels like a nightmare. They created a memorial outside of the body shop in his honor.
“We are truly hurt that he has gone so suddenly,” said one colleague.
The two suspects are still at large, according to police.
