Community members are raising concerns about rezoning the Jerome Avenue corridor.
It was a packed house at the Latino Pastoral Action Center Thursday night with union workers, residents and local officials turning out.
The city wants to rezone 73 blocks along Jerome Avenue, turning it from commercial and manufacturing to residential. Auto body shop owners and employees say they fear they'll be forced out.
The rezoning could also affect more than 50,000 rent-stabilized tenants living in the area.
