A competency hearing to determine whether the suspect accused of killing a veteran Bronx EMT can stand trial has been rescheduled.
The delay was caused by a family emergency for the examining psychologist.
Jose Gonzalez is accused of hijacking the ambulance of EMT Yadira Arroyo and running her over with it in 2016. Since then, Arroyo's family has been waiting for the case to move forward.
Despite Thursday's disappointment, they say they're in the process for the long haul.
The results of the competency hearing are now due Nov. 13.
