Con Edison crews continue their work restoring power to hundreds of New Yorkers Wednesday, more than one week after the storm.
One of the biggest issues according to residents has been getting through Con Edison's customer service.
While the numbers have gone down in many neighborhoods, there are still several left powerless.
Several people News 12 has spoken with this week say they were left waiting for days for Con Edison to give them answers on when the lights will come back on. According to power company’s outage map, about 400 people in the Bronx and Brooklyn continue to be without service.
Con Edison says the remaining outages involve complicated restorations along with extensive damage. Anyone who has lost power for more than 48 hours can be reimbursed up to $235 if customers had spoiled food and had to throw out. Claims can be filled out on Con Edison’s website.
