Last week's tropical storm may be over, but the fallout from it is still being felt across the city as thousands are left without power almost a week later.
Many New Yorkers are concerned as temperatures are expected to be in the 90s this week and still thousands of people can't turn on their air conditioners.
News 12 cameras caught Con Edison workers out in Riverdale early Monday morning trying to fix outages and get customers out of the dark and the heat. Con Ed says more than 1,000 customers in the Bronx alone are still without power.
In Riverdale, residents were out in the streets over the weekend surveying the damage with trees and electrical wires that have been down since Tropical Storm Isaias hit the city last Tuesday. Con Ed's outage map shows that more than 700 customers in Riverdale alone are still without power, even though the company said most service would be restored by Sunday night.
ConEd also says that they added 450 contractors to their existing crews on Sunday to restore power as quickly as possible. Con Ed says they're working as fast as they can and are committed to restoring power to all customers.
As temperatures climb Monday, the city recommends drinking plenty of water and checking in on neighbors, especially elderly or sick people who are more vulnerable.
