WARMING UP: Monday was just a taste of the spring tease as highs approached the 50-degree mark away from the water. The milder south wind will continue bringing warmer weather to our borough over the next few days.
TUESDAY: Tuesday's highs will break through into the 50s, up to 56 degrees away from the water. Locations closer to the water will not be as warm because water temperatures in the New York Harbor are below 40 degrees, and only in the 40s in the nearby Atantic waters. This will be common the rest of the week with the continued south wind, except Wednesday.
SOME RAIN: There is a slight chance of a spot shower between 3-7 p.m. but most of the rain is expected to stay north of the city.
WEDNESDAY: Wednesday will be the pick of the week with barely a cloud in the sky and a west wind. Everyone gets up into the middle 50s, even at the water, just for one day. It will be some of the best looking and feeling weather of 2025 so far.
REST OF THE WEEK: The clouds are back Wednesday night with a few showers between midnight and 5 a.m. That is part of a warm front, that brings another bump to the temperatures Thursday afternoon. Highs approach 60 degrees away from the water, typical for early April and not the end of February. There will be a few scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm during the afternoon and evening. The warmup takes a pause on Friday behind Thursday's storm with highs only in the 40s and a colder Canadian wind, with some gusts approaching 30 mph. Briefly warmer on Saturday but it gets colder for Sunday, back to below average.
