I want to think again, step outside right now and you'll already know that the cold is with us. And like you mentioned, Kurt doesn't seem like it's really going anywhere anytime soon. Let's bring in hope to tell us more about when or if there's any relief from this sight. Hope we have a few days to go to really start seeing those temperatures recovering back to seasonable. But here's what to expect for our bitter blast. It is going to feel bitterly cold starting tomorrow and even last thing into Wednesday morning, feel like temperatures in the twenties tomorrow morning, even colder Wednesday morning, it is expected to feel like the teens. So winter essentials are needed. So here's what you need to wear starting tonight into early tomorrow morning. You need to grab the heavier coat, the hat, the scarf, the gloves, temperatures tomorrow will be in the upper twenties near 30 degrees, feeling colder than that because of those blustery winds out of the west gusting between 20 to 30 30 MPH really beginning to ramp up in intensity by the afternoon and that does even come with some flakes. So it's certainly feeling and even looking like winter out there. So some festive flakes starts moving into our area after 10 a.m. Again, it's not expected to accumulate anything but don't get caught off guard if you see some of those flakes moving through around 1:02 p.m. out of here by the evening. But again, back to how it's gonna feel tomorrow morning dress for the twenties, it looks like temperatures aren't really recovering by the afternoon. Still expected to feel like the tw all day long through the evening, overnight hours, even colder by Wednesday morning, you're going to have to dress for the teens once again. And that just means you're putting on an extra layer, you're going to need those insulated socks as well. And it looks like it is going to remain cold even through Wednesday afternoon. Tuesdays. Well, Thursday is where we start to recover a bit. Highs will be near 47 with plenty of sun.

Check in with Michelle, find out about what we need to wear and prepare as we wake up and head out in the morning, Michelle. Oh, yes. You know, tomorrow you're going to need the heaviest winter coat. You're going to need it the next couple of days. And don't forget the winter accessories like hats and gloves and scarves because of the winds. This will definitely keep you warm. I know we often forget about the gloves but temperatures only warm into the thirties for tomorrow, winds are going make it feel like the twenties all day long. And then Wednesday morning, we're going to wake up to what it will feel like teens out there. So temperatures tomorrow, well, below average, the average now is 50 degrees and we're looking at 34 in Cornwall, 38 in Stanford, 39 in Milford. So not even breaking 40 there's a secondary batch of colder air on the way and the winds kick in. So that will make it feel even colder. But look at the map alone when you start to see those purple shades pop up, it's, it's very cold. So this is a winter feel coming our way in the next couple of days after the front passes, colder air settles in, but this is very transitory because warmer air comes back in just a few days. The end of the week we get back on track and it's going to be so warm that there could actually be some rain. But let's talk about the winds they pick up for the morning, anywhere from around 10 to 15 miles an hour with gusts that are higher than that and the wind gusts are going to stay with us throughout the day. So approaching 30 miles an hour and that's why it's going to feel so cold out there and cover all exposed skin, make sure the hands are covered and of course your head because if your head is covered, you're going to feel warmer too. Now the winds will start to simmer down probably Wednesday, going into Thursday and that's when temperatures really recover. So in terms of rainfall, we're not looking at showers or anything really developing until Friday. There could be a few snow flurries in here for tomorrow, but that's about it. Snow lovers don't get your hopes up quite yet. And temperatures for the rest of the week, like I mentioned, the average high is about 50 right now. We're not going to see those numbers until later in the week. So bundle up and layer up and I'll be back with that 10 day forecast. Out some free swag and take a look at this. Thunderbolt 12 rolling along in the parade. I was lucky enough to be a passenger in thunderbolt 12. Matt, quite an impressive vehicle there. I know you have way more interaction with it than I do normally. So, yeah, you know, obviously it's a great weather resource that we have here in news 12. Great to be able to show it off in the parade as well. And we're going to be using Thunderbolt 12 a lot during the upcoming winter. As we know, we're not talking about significant snow going forward over the next couple of days, but we're talking about significant cold and I want to show you first and foremost, the future cast and this will show us any clouds, any rain or snow overall, it will be dry. The one thing that we can't rule out by the time we get into about mid-morning tomorrow is the chance actually for a few scattered flurries across the Hudson Valley that could happen as early as around seven or eight o'clock in the morning tomorrow, it's nothing significant, but you might notice a few festival snow flakes flying in the air at times tomorrow morning. And even in the afternoon, it's in part, the strong gusty winds that are developing tomorrow trying to pull down a couple of those snow showers from the Great Lakes in our direction. Speaking of the wind, the wind's breezy today on the order of around 10 to 20 MPH. Notice the wind gusts though by after nine o'clock tomorrow morning, they jump to around 20 to 30 MPH. And so actually the middle part of the day tomorrow, mid to late morning and into the will feel even colder than how the morning starts off feeling. And it's already cold enough tomorrow morning feeling like the lower twenties. And we've had that at times this year already or this season, it feeling like the twenties early in the morning, but we have not had it feeling like the teens and twenties during the late morning and afternoon hours. And that's exactly what we're looking at for tomorrow and also on Wednesday. So for the rest of today, it's actually comfortable compared to where things are over the next couple of days, but just have the sweatshirt or a jacket this afternoon. And it really just a, a fairly comfortable day for this time of the year with dry conditions tonight. Though, a few patchy clouds, temperatures in the twenties will start to feel like the teens tomorrow straight, flurry can't be ruled out tomorrow, still quite cold on Wednesday. Much better on Thursday tracking some rain for Friday afternoon and again, later Sunday into Monday with high, staying in the upper forties to low fifties into the early part of next week.

Good. We'll see if we can get some around this season. We are heading into a stormy pattern but, you know, the storms do need to meet up with the colder air to get that snow to happen. We've got the colder air coming in tomorrow. A little bit of a blast of cold here with northwest winds, temperatures will be about 10 degrees below normal. It's not record breaking cold, but you will notice the difference out there. Wind chills will be in the twenties, so definitely warm, especially in the morning, the hats, the gloves, the heavier jacket, the whole deal. We'll look at our temperatures tomorrow topping out near 38 feeling more like 27 on Wednesday, 37 for a high feeling like 29 and we're out of it by Thursday, back to seasonable weather. But, you know, our average highs this time of the year now in the upper forties. So the colder weather is starting to arrive as we get closer to the first day of winter, we have some really lake effect snow bands to our north, just south of Buffalo, towards Geneseo and over by Oneonta where they'll be picking up some big snow totals and in our neck of the woods tomorrow with a cold breeze, we might get a little bit of a flurry in the afternoon. Slight chance for that you see just past Babylon towards Patch Og otherwise it's mostly clear. Temperatures are in the thirties clearing at night. On Wednesday, we start the day off with temps in the twenties, another very cold day where temperatures struggle to get to 40 in the afternoon. Dry weather will last through Thursday and your next chance for rain is coming in on Friday. It's a dry start late afternoon and evening. There's that rain, it will move out by Saturday. So dry start to the weekend, mild back up into the fifties, but it is going to be wet from Sunday through Tuesday of next week. A little bit breezy as well.

It's just a nice little kick off to the Holiday Spirit, which would be happening all year round anyway, they could be practicing outside. That's how cold it's getting over. The course of the next couple of mornings, we're talking about morning lows that are going to be in the twenties and thirties when you factor in the wind. Now, we're talking about easily some of the coldest air that we've had around here in quite some time. The coldest morning of the, of the past year and a half was Christmas Eve when the morning low temperature was five. We're not talking about that kind of cold. It's not going to be record breaking, but it is certainly the first time that we've been dealing with this type of cold in about a year, 39 dropping down into the upper twenties in most areas with that wind at 10 to 15 miles an hour. Now, you've got wind chills that will feel like the lower twenties and it only gets colder from here on out to tomorrow afternoon. Most of our New Jersey neighborhoods are going to be sub 40 degrees. It's been a while since we've been this chilly for daytime, high temperatures. For the most part, we're looking at mostly sunny skies, but I can't rule out because of the gusty winds and the lake enhance snows out towards the west. Some of those flurries may make the trip towards New Jersey and because the air is so cold coming into New Jersey, not only at the surface but aloft, any of moisture is going to get squeezed out. We're already starting to see some lake enhanced snow showers out towards Lock Haven and State College between Williamsport and Harrisburg. Some of those flurries are trying to get to New Jersey by tomorrow afternoon. Overall, not very successfully, but we are going to be looking for that chill to stay with us for the remainder of the middle of the week. Now, the winds change direction become a little bit more southerly. The temperatures rebound back to where they should be this time of year in the upper forties, it gets milder, still going into the upcoming weekend, but we bring with it a little bit more cloud coverage and there's a chance on Saturday, we might be dealing with a few on again off again. Sprinkles, nothing soaking, nothing terrible like we had earlier this morning, but there might be some damp weather that will have to dodge on Saturday, Sundays looking good. A little bit more steadier rain moving into the area by this time next week, I'll have more details on that. New jersey forecast coming right up. All right.
