A year after a Bronx man was scalded to death by water in the shower of his Murphy Houses apartment, legislation is being introduced to protect families in NYCHA buildings.
The widow of Angel Miller says he was burned to death by water that was close to 200 degrees.
Councilman Fernando Cabrera says he is introducing new legislation to force NYCHA buildings to have anti-scalding mechanisms installed that would prevent deadly water temperatures.
A NYCHA spokesperson says they are still reviewing allegations of the complaint.
A final copy of the legislation is still in the works.
