A man says he was swindled out of thousands by the same person accused of using Lesandro "Junior" Guzman-Feliz's name for his own personal gain.

Councilman Ritchie Torres is warning the public about Reginald Gregg.

"He's using government symbols and names to cheat people out of their money," says Torres.

Torres say Gregg, who also goes by the name R.A. Gregg, convinced Junior's mother to sign a letter giving him permission to act on the family's behalf.

The councilman brought forward another alleged victim. Larry Winawer claims Gregg misled him in a car purchase on eBay. Winawer says he never got the original car title from Gregg and is out $5,000.

"I had hundreds of transactions so every one has gone smoothly," says Winawer. "Every one who I've dealt with on the site has been reputable. I had no reason to suspect that this was going to happen."

Several months ago, Torres says Gregg was sent a cease-and-desist letter from the city and the Department of State telling him to stop portraying himself as a member of government.

"Despite receiving a cease-and-desist letter from the state, Mr. Gregg continues to call himself commissioner of New York state Community Affairs Bureau and continues to defraud members of the public," says Torres.

News 12 reached out to Gregg about the accusations. Gregg would only say the allegations are untrue before abruptly ending the phone call.
