Several residents in Country Club were left in the dark on Friday after a fallen tree knocked down overhead wires.
"We came home and there was no power," said resident Ann Marie Samela.
Samela said the incident at the intersection of Stadium and Watts avenues has left her with no heat.
"We try to keep all the windows closed...so hopefully it won't get too much colder tonight," she said.
Despite the circumstances, Samela also decided to join the Halloween activities in the neighborhood.
"At least like tonight, we get to have entertainment outside and some of our neighbors have power, so it's nice that their decorations are here for us," she said.
Other residents were also finding an excuse to get into costumes and join trick-or-treaters, even if it was for a brief moment.
"It’s definitely going to be a short trip today – we’re definitely not going to stay out for too long," said Kelsey.
Con Edison told News 12 that 123 customers experienced the outage. They said service was expected to be restored late Friday evening.
