Parking meters across New York City are causing headaches for drivers in the new year.
The Department of Transpiration says crews are working on software at meters across the city.
They say an outage in the credit card payment software used in the meters is causing payments to be rejected.
Authorities say they will have a better estimate on when the problem will be fixed sometime today.
In the meantime, DOT says meters are still accepting coins and drivers can still pay by credit card using the ParkNYC app.
