Police said no one as 9 p.m. would be allowed out on any public street.
The curfew will be in effect until Sunday 5 a.m.
News 12 New Jersey observed a large police presence near Pier Village.
Police said the curfew is out public safety concerns.
It is unclear to what extent that was enforced on Saturday night.
