Cyber Monday officially kicked off yesterday and retail analysts predicted that Americans will make millions of dollars' worth of purchases, not just Monday but all week.
It also marked the 10th anniversary of Cyber Monday. The National Retail Federation expected about 120 million online shoppers to be looking for bargains.
FedEx says it expects to see an increase in holiday shipments this year, due in part to Cyber Monday sales.
The company says it will likely mail more than 300 million packages between Black Friday and Christmas Eve. They say this is a 12 percent boost in sales compared to last year.
In an annual Cyber Monday survey, Careerbuilder.com says half of U.S. workers will be doing some shopping today at work.
