The swimming pool installation and servicing business is making a splash early this year despite the pandemic, the owner of a Darien pool company says.
Swimm Pools in Darien says business is good because more people are stuck at home looking for activities.
They say business began booming a month early this year, with phones ringing off the hook in March.
In addition to servicing pools, owner Mark Swimm says his guys have more pools to install this season.
Swimm says the construction side of his business is up 20%.
Swimm says inflatable pools serve as a less expensive alternative to installing in-ground and above-ground pools.
Swimm is also giving back to the community.
He was featured in a News 12 story in April when he teamed up with Michael Joseph's Catering to deliver fresh-cooked meals to those in need during the pandemic.
