DEA hosts annual prescription Drug Take Back Day
New Yorkers can go to one of 200 drop-off sites across the state, including five in Brooklyn and more than 20 in the Bronx and Westchester, to return any old prescription medication and get rid of it safely and anonymously.

2h agoThe Drug Enforcement Agency is hosting its annual Prescription Drug Take Back Day across the United States.
New Yorkers can go to one of 200 drop-off sites across the state, including five in Brooklyn and more than 20 in the Bronx and Westchester, to return any old prescription medication and get rid of it safely and anonymously.
The DEA says the goal of the event is to fight back against the ongoing opioid epidemic and reduce the risk of prescription drugs being misused or falling into the wrong hands.
You can bring in tablets, capsules, patches and liquids, as long as they are tightly sealed in their original container. The DEA also accepts vape pens and cartridges without the battery, but illicit drugs and syringes are not accepted.
