Jurors are still deliberating the case of a man accused of breaking into a house and assaulting a woman -- only to flee after her
11-year-old son stabbed him.
The jury requested to hear phone calls, testimony and cross-examination all over again, including the statements of Jeremy Rosario. He is the pre-teen boy who said he feared for his mother's life.
Prosecutors say Brian Febus broke into Denise Soto's home on April 2017, beat her up, cut her with a knife and tried to smother her in her own bed.
Soto had recently broken up with Febus' brother, Chris.
The defendant's lawyer argued that Soto knew he was coming to gather his brother's belongings.
As News 12 has reported, Soto told police that Febus broke in after she denied him access. Her 4-year-old child was also home at the time.
