An iconic building located at 20 Bruckner Blvd., notorious for the enormous billboard on its roof, is finally being revitalizing after more than a decade of being covered in scaffolding.

News 12 is told the building is under new ownership that has been working hard over the past year to give it a new lease of life.

The building is described as grand, with original 21-foot terra cotta ceilings.

“This is like a dream for guys like us who build stuff like this,” the developers said. “You don't find this anymore.”

Many also say the iconic billboard located on the roof of the building is a kind of beacon for when people are coming home to the Bronx. The sign is 8,000 square-feet and is the largest sign in all of New York besides Times Square.

Meanwhile, developers say they're most excited for the business moving into the building.

“It's going to be one huge client that's going to have a huge impact on the environment, on the neighbors, on the community,” said Senior Project Supervisor Fawaaz Ali.

The owners say the facade should be finished by the end of next month and the new tenant will be in by the end of 2019.
