With many people staying home to practice social distancing, a local DJ is starting a podcast to help people pass the time while being isolated.
Brooklyn DJ Albert Green is launching his podcast, "Music Talk," where he interviews artists to give people something to listen to while they're in quarantine.
"The general idea of the podcast is to get to know more about the person, rather the artist, and in a time like this, I feel like it was something I had to do to give people a thing to do to pass time,” he says.
Green says the podcast gives him a chance to dive deep into his interviews with musical artists in hopes of showing their more personal side.
The podcast is two years in the making and the DJ released his first episode Sunday.
Along with his podcast, the DJ also produces music where, at times, he uses the proceeds to raise money for cancer research, which he says is an effort to give back to the community.
The "Music Talk" podcast is being streamed through YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud and Apple Music.
