DJ passionate about 1980s spinning techniques
The art of if of being a disc jockey is quickly being replaced by modern technology that is often automated and requires no human production.
However, one man in the Bronx is bringing back a style of DJing from the 80s when the art form was in full swing.
Jordan Evans, who goes by the name of DJ Lee Rock, says DJs in the 1980s had to learn how to spin vinyl by hand.
He says the most difficult part about spinning records during the 1980s was making two records time up with one another simultaneously—a technique easily replicated by modern day software.
Lee Rock is determined to stick to traditional methods of DJing and wants to show people how hip-hop classics can still get crowds dancing.
