A poll by Fairleigh Dickinson University shows most New Jersey residents believe in the Jersey Devil and ghosts.
The poll says paranormal beliefs like ghosts and astrology are more common, and one in six people in the Garden State believe the creature may be lurking about.
In a recent survey, 813 participants were asked about the legitimacy of the creature and 47% of men and 51% of women say the Pine Barrens cryptid might actually exist. Among those believers, the survey says those ages 31 to 64 defended the Jersey legend the most.
