The city has announced a new plan to get drivers to slow down for children in school zones, and it’s heading to the Bronx.
The new approach will include flashing lights.
The Department of Transportation plans to install rapid-fire strobes at eight intersections near schools.
The lights are triggered by pedestrians who can press a button to activate the lights when they want to cross.
The lights have already been installed at two Brooklyn locations and are coming to the Bronx later this month.
