More than two dozen families in East New York have been without power since Tropical Storm Isaias hit the area.
A downed tree and tangled wires have caused residents in the area to be out of power for eight straight days.
Delores Payne says the tree near her home went down during the storm Tuesday.
"As soon as I got into the home, my neighbor rang the bell; this tree toppled over and it's been here ever since,” says Payne.
The tree took down numerous electrical wires and knocked out power along Hinsdale Street between New Lotts Avenue and Linden Boulevard.
"We constantly get text messages and emails saying when the power’s going to be restored. Every time that time and date appears or it comes, they give us a new restoration time,” says Payne.
Con Edison tells News 12 it is sending a crew out to restore the power today.
