Dozens of New Yorkers stood in unity at Grand Army Plaza Sunday to call for a cease-fire in the Gaza region.

They chanted, screamed and cried with the hope Sen. Charles Schumer would hear their demands.

Demonstrators also showed up with signs that read "how many more babies have to die before we cease fire?"

The rally was part of a national day of action as people from across the city came together to stand in solidarity with the people in Palestine.

"We are a loud voice demanding for a cease-fire and our Sen. Chuck Schumer has not demanded one these things that he can do in a humanitarian way... look at our children and see the children in Gaza as his as well," said organizer Fatimah Shalash.

Palestine supporters marched the streets leading up to Grand Army Plaza, begging to end the devastation that's unfolding in Gaza.

"We're here to make sure not another genocide happens, not a continuation of genocide happens, and we're here to uplift the Palestinian people," said organizer Chio Valerio-Gonzalez.

Schumer's office had not released an official statement as of Sunday night.

Demonstrators told News 12 this march was for peace. They said they hope it's a step to end the violence in Gaza.
