Several parking meters have been removed from a Bronx neighborhood, according to the Department of Transportation.
Three of the meters went missing without any warning about a week ago in front of Chickenfest on Hugh J. Grant Circle in Parkchester, according to residents.
In the place of the meters, residents say were orange DOT parking cones.
Residents say it is an inconvenience for drivers who frequent the area because they now have to walk down a block, around the corner and halfway down another block in order to find the closest meter.
The DOT says the meters were removed from the area due to construction work.
They say new meters are expected to be installed once construction is completed.
They did not say when construction would be finished.
