The FDNY confirms that lithium ion batteries were found. A charred e-scooter was found at the scene.
The above video was provided by the family, saying it's the moment an e-scooter battery went up in flames inside their apartment.

The family in the apartment tells News 12's Brittany Cadet that the person injured is their brother.
The fire took place around 5 a.m.
