Some wheelchair-bound residents in Edenwald say that getting around their neighborhood has become increasingly difficult due to the number of potholes in the streets.
According to the residents, some of the most egregious potholes are near East 225th Street and Schieffelin Avenue. They say the craters cause problems while crossing the street, and buses will sometimes miss their stop to avoid them.
Neighbors are also concerned about the safety of drivers and pedestrians, as they say the potholes could lead to an accident.
News 12 reached out to the Department of Transportation for comment and is waiting to hear back.
