The EJ Bakery has shut down its doors in Riverdale after being a neighborhood staple. The bakery was known for its sweets and pastries.

The once bustling and busy bakery was voted as a neighborhood favorite in 2023. News 12 covered the bakery in better times to taste their baked goods. We spoke to customers that were shocked to hear the news.

"It would be nice if they opened up at a new location," said Ernest Chi.

Customers tell News 12 that they found out about the closure at the end of September through social media.
