Migrant advocates and city leaders rallied together on Thursday to call on the state and federal governments to help them aid recently arrived migrants.  

Make The Road New York and Masbia say more work needs to be done and that they need a hand to offer that assistance.  

They say that a food pantry available 24/7 or providing essential winter clothing to migrants in need can become a reality if federal and state governments provide financial aid.  

Last Friday, Mayor Eric Adams submitted a mutual aid request to the state to help shelter migrants. He says the city was seeing an average of 400 people arriving every day as of last week, adding that the largest single-day arrival to date was 835 asylum seekers arriving to the city.
