Ex-Herricks HS teacher avoids jail time after injecting teen with COVID-19 vaccine

A former Herricks High School teacher charged with injecting a teenager with a COVID-19 vaccine without his parents' permission will not serve any jail time.
Laura Parker Russo pleaded guilty on Friday to two lesser charges as part of a plea deal.
She was given one year of interim probation, must complete 100 hours of community service and cannot contact the teen.
Parker Russo is due back in court in February.
