A former middle school employee has been arrested for allegedly having sex with a 12-year-old boy with autism.

Police told News 12 that the victim came forward last week and told officials that Eleidy Breton, 27, had sex with him on multiple occasions in her Waring Avenue apartment from April 2015 until at least August of 2016.

The Department of Education says Breton resigned from her position as a paraprofessional at Bronx Latin Middle School last year. In her position, she worked one-on-one with students and assisted teachers with day-to-day activities.

Breton is charged with predatory sexual assault against a child. She is expected to stand before a judge at Bronx Criminal Court within the next 24 hours.
