The House of Wax in Downtown Brooklyn features an unusual exhibit from the collection of Ryan Matthew Cohn.
Cohn bought the 19 century collection from Germany and came up with the idea to combine a bar and museum together.
“I think that people ultimately fear death. I’m very comfortable with it - not that I want to die - but I’ve always been interested in learning about death and anatomy,” Cohn shares.
Everything displayed has a story of its own from a display on different types of fetal abnormalities, leprosy and lupus to famous serial killer Frederick Harmon, better known at the “Butcher of Hanover.”
