Experts are warning residents that this flu season is one of the worst.

Dr. Alexander Ostrovsky, an emergency room doctor at Coney Island Hospital, says he's never seen a flu epidemic quite like this in his 20 years of being a doctor.

Ostrovsky says some patients come into the ER with such severe symptoms that they can't talk and have to be put on life support.

Doctors urge people to get vaccinated, wash their hands often and cover their mouths when they cough.
