The "incorrupt" heart of revered French St. John Vianney was on display Thursday at Curé Of Ars Roman Catholic Church in Merrick.

Vianney, who was born in 1786, is considered the patron saint of parish priests. The church considers his heart to be a symbol of love, commitment and a sign of great holiness.

The relic is in the care of the Knights of Columbus, which is displaying it in cathedrals, churches and chapels nationwide as part of a pilgrimage dubbed "Heart of a Priest."

Some who prayed at the heart say they felt blessed to be in its presence.
