Families united Friday for a fun night of movies and games in Westchester Square.

'Weekend Walks Movie Night' is all about bringing families together. Westchester Square was closed for hours as people gathered to watch a movie as well as play games. Kids also got to have fun with arts and crafts and enjoy showing off their dance moves with the DJ. There was also a mobile library on hand to encourage youngsters to check out some books.

The event was put together by the Westchester Square Improvement District with the help of the Department of Transportation. Officials hope these types of events bring more people to the area.
