Family displaced after Kingsbridge home sustains significant fire damage
A Kingsbridge home sustained significant damage after a fire broke out on the top floor.
News 12 was told that four people were inside of the home on West 238th Street when the fire broke out around 1:45 p.m.
Fire officials say the family reported that the lights were flickering before the flames started, seeming to suggest that it stemmed from an electrical issue.
Officials say they got the fire under control pretty quickly, but then had to break into the attic space on the top floor, which is where the fire is believed to have started. An official at the scene told News 12 that all of the people in the home got out safely.
