A wake was held Monday night for a man who was fatally stabbed last week.
According to the NYPD, a noise complaint at 808 Elsmere Place turned deadly when Tyquan Pleasant’s fiancée says they were getting ready for bed.
She says they heard a loud banging noise coming from their neighbor’s apartment, and Pleasant went over to the apartment.
The fiancée says Pleasant and 25-year-old Sean Pyles then got into a dispute that led to the fatal stabbing.
Pleasant is remembered fondly by those who knew him well.
“He was a person who always took care of business he was polite took care of his family when he needed to,” said Kawanna Pleasant, Tyquan’s aunt. “He had so much more life to live, and it was cut short for something so senseless.”
Family members of Tyquan say that he will be cremated on Tuesday, and they will continue to spread awareness about senseless violence.
