Family members of a Bronx man fatally shot in 2009 are continuing their calls for justice eight years after his death.
Carlos Nieves, 19, left for a party on Dec. 12, 2009 with his girlfriend and friends but never came home. He wound up being shot to death on 163rd Street and Tinton Avenue.
The family was told that nearby surveillance cameras weren't working at the time of the shooting. Years of them checking in with investigators has left them without answers.
News 12 reached out to police and was also told that there were no updates or arrests made.
The family says they hope that reaching out to the public will finally provide some closure.
