Trevor Hughes had plans to celebrate his 50th birthday in November before he was shot and killed over a parking dispute outside of his home this past weekend.
"We had everything booked to celebrate his 50th. And now what do I celebrate?" Hughes' brother tells News 12.
Lavar Davis is now behind bars, charged with murder. It's not his first run in with the law. Back in 1997, Davis was sentenced to 23 years to life for a separate murder case. Davis was released on lifetime parole back in 2021.
Davis is due back in court this week.
