Family of slain Winston Ortiz calls for justice at suspect's hearing
The family of Winston Ortiz, the 18-year-old who was brutally killed last August in the Bronx, is still calling for justice.
The family gathered outside the Bronx County Hall of Justice Tuesday during the latest hearing of Ortiz's alleged assailant, Adones Betances.
The family is calling for Betances to be charged with premeditated first-degree murder.
Ortiz's father says although the past year has been difficult, they will never give up fighting for him.
"It's a roller coaster of emotions, feelings, thoughts. Just a lot of things altogether, and still not understanding about how this thing could happen to my son?" Winston Ortiz Sr. says.
