Family and friends are seeking answers after a fatal hit-and-run accident in Red Hook this week.
A memorial was made at the corner of Hamilton Avenue and Court Street where 31-year-old Imorne Horton was killed.
Citizen App video shows the scene when police say a car traveling through the intersection struck Imorne as he was crossing the street around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say the driver fled the scene and left Imorne on the street. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died.
Imorne's mother, Tasha Horton, says she wants justice for her son.
"I can't believe they left my son on the road like road kill," Horton says. "Hopefully, police are doing their job and they find out who killed my son."
The family is also calling on the state and the city Department of Transportation to create changes to the intersection that would make it safer for pedestrians.
Police say no arrests have been made.
News 12 reached out to the state Department of Transportation, which referred comments to the city DOT. They have not yet released any comment on the family’s request.
