The FDNY says one person has died following a massive blaze at the Eastchester Gardens houses.

According to FDNY, the fire broke out at 1166 Burke Ave. just after 3 a.m.

Officials were able to put the fire out in under an hour. However, the strong winds played a big part in the fight to battle the flames.

Officials say they found a male victim unconscious and unresponsive inside the building. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to officials, the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
