FDNY: 12 injured in East New York fire

Fire officials say the fire was called just after 6:30 p.m. and broke out on the first floor of a two-story building.

A fire broke out at a private home in East New York injuring 12 people, according to the FDNY. 
Fire officials say the fire was called just after 6:30 p.m. and broke out on the first floor of a two-story building.  
Ten residents suffered minor injuries, and two suffered serious but injuries that were not life-threatening. Ten people were transported to nearby hospitals.  
The fire was put out just before 9 p.m.
