FDNY: 2 hurt in acetylene tank leak at Midtown building

Two people are recovering following a tank explosion in Midtown, officials say.
Firefighters responded to smoke on the 34th floor of a building on Madison Avenue around 6:30 a.m., according to fire officials. Upon arrival, they discovered an acetylene tank leaking.
FDNY says two civilians were hurt and taken to hospitals. Their conditions are currently unknown.
The Department of Buildings has also been notified. The cause of the leak is unclear at this time.
