News 12 is told the car jumped the curb and ran straight into the scaffolding, which then collapsed onto the car.

Two people are in the hospital after crashing into scaffolding in Flatbush on Christmas Eve.
Sherwyn Clarke lives at the corner of Rogers Avenue and Beverly Road and says he heard two cars crashing into one another at the intersection, just after 7 p.m. Sunday.
"When I peeped through the window, I saw the car actually skate inside there," he says.
The impact sent one of the cars slamming into the scaffolding of a new construction site at the corner.
The FDNY says two people were taken to the hospital but there is no word on their conditions. Some people who live in the area told News 12 they are not surprised that it happened at this intersection, including one person who sent a video of another crash at the same location just a few days ago.
Two blocks over, the Department of Transportation marked Beverly Road and Nostrand Avenue as a priority intersection after six pedestrians were killed or injured.
At Rogers Avenue and Beverly Road, the DOT says pedestrians have a head start crossing the street before the light changes, but residents say it’s not enough to prevent crashes.
